Responsibilities
- Design and develop the STACKIT Distributed Cloud private cloud offering.
- Build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native products for customers.
- Continuously automate and optimize technical processes.
- Conduct problem and error analyses and identify sustainable solutions.
- Use and contribute to open-source projects supporting European digital sovereignty.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience with Golang or similar languages such as Rust, C/C++, or Python.
- Proficiency in cloud-native application development and deployment using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
- Understanding of distributed application development.
- Deep knowledge of the cloud-native landscape and CNCF ecosystem components.
- Experience with communication frameworks and protocols such as REST and gRPC.
- Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Cloud network protocol and API knowledge, including CNI, eBPF, BGP, or DNS, is a plus.
- Experience developing Kubernetes operators is a plus.
- Familiarity with Talos Linux, Cilium, CoreDNS, Ceph, and OpenBao/Vault is a plus.
