Responsibilities
- Build backend Java and Spring Boot services, business logic, REST APIs, microservices, validation, error handling, and downstream integrations.
- Develop responsive frontend components using React or Angular, HTML, and CSS, including state management, API consumption, and role-based user experiences.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries using indexes, joins, and execution plans, and support data validation and troubleshooting.
- Deploy and troubleshoot cloud-hosted applications on AWS, including basic IAM, networking, monitoring, and managed services support.
- Use Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines for branching, pull requests, automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Write unit and integration tests and support mocking, contract testing, clean design, secure coding, profiling, log analysis, and cross-layer debugging.
- Collaborate with QA, product, and operations in Agile/Scrum delivery and produce API notes, runbooks, and support handoffs.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building scalable, maintainable applications with modular design, reusable components, and clear API boundaries.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, including root-cause analysis and delivery of pragmatic fixes.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with sprint planning, estimation, demos, retrospectives, and delivery commitments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with QA, product, and operations to deliver features end to end.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation, including API notes, runbooks, and support handoffs.
