Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across one or more business applications, including solution design and implementation oversight.
- Coach and mentor engineers while promoting strong engineering practices.
- Drive delivery from design through deployment with attention to data integrity, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build and enhance enterprise applications using Python for API and service development.
- Design and implement Snowflake-based data solutions using production-grade SQL and Snowflake objects.
- Deliver end-to-end workflows spanning user interfaces, APIs, and data warehouse layers.
- Incorporate resiliency, security, risk management, and control considerations into engineering delivery.
- Partner with business stakeholders, business architecture, and cross-functional technology teams to improve capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related software engineering experience, including enterprise application delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong SQL experience, including complex SQL, operational and analytical concepts, warehousing concepts, and large datasets.
- Python experience building enterprise applications, APIs, and services; multithreading experience is a plus.
- Experience delivering workflows across UI, APIs, and data warehouse layers.
- Ability to mentor and guide engineers with a leadership mindset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Snowflake experience and performance tuning, Angular or similar UI frameworks, AWS, FastAPI or modern Python frameworks, CI/CD, containerization, internal tools, dashboards, data products, and liquidity risk or financial markets experience.
