Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of developers in planning, delivering, and operating reliable software.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, shared services teams, and leadership to align software with functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create, maintain, review, and approve application designs and account for architectural tradeoffs.
- Develop, maintain, review, and test software with emphasis on quality, maintainability, automation, and test-driven development.
- Provide technical oversight for performance testing and application deployment activities across non-production and production environments.
- Investigate technologies, resolve technical debt, conduct code reviews, and ensure compatibility with browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Provide estimates, support feasibility assessments, align team capacity and skills, and mentor developers on architecture, design, development, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, Data Engineer, or in a related or similar position.
- Five years of experience in software development, API development, Java, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, GraphQL, AWS services, GitLab, and pipelines.
- Three years of experience with Lambda, Python, and CloudWatch.
- Two years of experience with Kafka.
- One year of experience with AWS Fargate.
- Ability to work from home in the stated hybrid role.
