Responsibilities
- Define testing strategies, objectives, success criteria, and performance baselines.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, performance, and backend applications.
- Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
- Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines and reduce manual testing effort.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams on resolution.
- Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, scalability, and capacity tests.
- Identify bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers and recommend optimizations.
- Validate system scalability and reliability under expected and peak workloads.
- Partner with developers, architects, DevOps, and operations teams on performance improvements.
- Support production-readiness reviews and performance-tuning initiatives.
- Monitor performance trends across releases and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Mentor engineering teams and contribute technical leadership to quality initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering with a strong focus on automation and performance testing.
- Strong experience designing automation frameworks and performance-testing solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit, Java, C#, JavaScript, Apache JMeter, and LoadRunner.
- Experience integrating testing with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience with Linux, virtualization, networking, cloud-native applications, and microservices-based applications.
- Knowledge of monolithic, distributed, event-driven, and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering concepts and AI-powered testing and quality engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder-management, mentoring, and technical-leadership skills.
- Ability to influence engineering teams through data-driven recommendations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
