Responsibilities
- Guide technical decisions throughout the development process with developers, product managers, and designers.
- Design and develop secure, high-quality cloud APIs for mobile, web, and edge devices.
- Prototype unproven concepts to optimize final implementations.
- Automate tasks and quality checks using CI/CD.
- Build tools to support self-management in an owner-operator model.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with cloud, mobile, and edge teams.
- Stay updated on cloud trends and topics.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies and languages such as Python and Golang.
- Highly experienced in building robust, well-documented, secure APIs and cloud services.
- Experience with Docker container development and hosting.
- AWS cloud experience using EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, and Snowflake.
- Experience building event-driven architectures at high scale.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with high availability deployment across multiple regions and availability zones.
- Familiarity with observability tools like SumoLogic, DataDog, or CloudWatch.
- Deep experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, and Jira.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative development environment.
- Experience leading cloud initiatives and translating product use cases into production-ready implementations.
- Knowledge of best practices in cloud codebases and standardized unit testing.
- Experience building reusable libraries, SDKs, and shared components.
- Intricate knowledge of web services using REST and OpenAPI or gRPC.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
