Base Salary
$181k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical architect and authority for Navy and Marine Corps growth initiatives and pursuits.
- Design architectures integrating data from manned and unmanned naval platforms into maritime command-and-control nodes.
- Develop transport, data, and application-layer architectures using multi-orbit SATCOM, tactical radios, data links, and terrestrial networks.
- Translate Navy and Marine Corps concepts, requirements, acquisition documents, and operational gaps into solution architectures and technical proposal volumes.
- Partner with business development leadership on capture strategies, win themes, and differentiated technical approaches.
- Develop operational and system views, including OV-1, SV-1, and mission threads.
- Engage Navy and Marine Corps operational, requirements, acquisition, Fleet, laboratory, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead technical exchanges, demonstrations, field experiments, wargames, pilots, and high-visibility live-data integrations.
- Coordinate with engineering, product, and IRAD teams to align roadmaps with Navy needs.
- Architect resilient and low-signature systems supporting contested environments, heterogeneous tactical waveforms, and automated PACE routing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture or technical defense-industry roles delivering integrated solutions.
- Strong expertise in systems engineering, software architecture, cybersecurity, C4ISR, unmanned systems, or related military technologies.
- Experience supporting capture management for federal or military contracts and familiarity with DoD acquisition and product lifecycle processes.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts as business narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with requirements management and product management toolsets such as Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, PLM software, or DoD equivalents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, or similar technical diagramming and proposal-development tools.
- U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Secret clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree or defense-focused MBA, relevant certifications, government acquisition experience, SD-WAN or SD-LAN and NFV experience, Docker or Kubernetes experience, cloud-platform experience, encryption and tactical-datalink expertise, or a DoD TS/SCI clearance.
- Helpful experience includes Navy organizations, Project Overmatch, Navy JADC2 implementation, CANES, ADNS, DCGS-N, Minotaur, maritime ISR, joint fires, data fusion, maritime domain awareness, Zero Trust, secure networking, cloud, edge computing, and software-defined networking.
