Responsibilities
- Own the technical side of strategic and enterprise sales cycles through technical discovery, solution design, and architecture discussions.
- Scope, build, support, and troubleshoot customer proofs of concept through a clear technical win.
- Translate customer infrastructure, model usage, and business constraints into OpenRouter architectures, routing strategies, and deployment approaches.
- Address technical objections, security reviews, and procurement requirements with customer and account teams.
- Create demos, reference architectures, POC frameworks, and technical enablement content.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Customer Engineering to incorporate customer feedback into the roadmap and product development.
- Maintain current knowledge of LLM models, providers, infrastructure patterns, and customer tooling.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing B2B SaaS role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or senior technical Account Executive.
- Strong track record supporting complex enterprise deals and driving technical wins through POCs, architecture reviews, and security reviews.
- Deep experience with developer-centric infrastructure, including cloud, Kubernetes, virtualization, networking, storage, or open-source infrastructure platforms.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, architects, infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, and technical decision-makers.
- Hands-on technical curiosity and experience building, troubleshooting, and evaluating technical systems.
- Experience working in a fast-growing environment with changing products, processes, and priorities.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, hardened or secure images, private cloud infrastructure, AI agents, self-hosted models, home-lab infrastructure, regulated industries, technical enablement programs, or the LLM ecosystem including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and open-source models.
