Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend systems and architecture for Coupang Pay.
- Develop fraud detection and risk-engineering systems to protect customer data.
- Build systems that support continuous financial services while maintaining security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across systems to design solutions that comply with laws and regulations.
- Identify and share engineering best practices with the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and implementing backend architecture.
- Sophisticated knowledge of Java, Spring, and MSA environments.
- Experience resolving issues arising as organizations and systems grow in scale and complexity.
- Strong coding skills in object-oriented programming and a scripting language.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related technical field.
- Preferred experience in fintech software development.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Preferred experience applying API Gateway and Service Mesh across an organization.
- Preferred knowledge of Java, distributed systems, microservices, and messaging services.
- Preferred experience developing security- or compliance-related systems.
