Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform solutions that improve the reliability, security, and scalability of database platform infrastructure.
- Apply cloud infrastructure, networking, and CI/CD practices to operational data storage systems.
- Collaborate with product teams on database provisioning and operational efficiency.
- Contribute code, infrastructure improvements, technical discussions, documentation, and the team roadmap.
- Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot incidents to maintain platform stability.
- Maintain and improve metrics, logging, and tracing solutions against SLOs and availability targets.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, particularly in AWS.
- Practical experience with operational data storage solutions such as PostgreSQL, Amazon RDS, and S3.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Competence in at least one programming language, with Python preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Jenkins.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and security best practices.
- Familiarity with DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Knowledge of database internals, performance tuning, replication, failover, sharding, or clustering is a plus.
- Backend engineering experience is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, problem-solving, and learning orientation.
