  • Design evaluations to assess the correctness and limitations of Claude’s work.
  • Work directly with scientists and engineers at partner organizations to define verifiable technical tasks and success criteria.
  • Prototype with partners, ship pilots into workflows, and turn successful engagements into shared tools, reusable components, and documented processes.
  • Communicate Claude’s performance, limitations, and tradeoffs to researchers, engineering leads, nontechnical stakeholders, and internal research and product teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building software with strong engineering fundamentals and comfort across data pipelines, tooling, and interfaces.
  • Experience building real systems with large language models, including agents, tool use, or evaluations.
  • Experience working on technical problems in a science or engineering field such as physics, materials, chemistry, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
