Base Salary

$158k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices for real-time forecasting and recommendation results.
  • Build and maintain backend data pipelines on EMR, Spark, and S3 that process petabyte-scale datasets and generate search indexes.
  • Translate time-series forecasting models and supply-demand algorithms into reliable, production-ready services with applied scientists and product teams.
  • Apply AI-driven approaches to accelerate platform upgrades, reduce technical debt, and lower mean time to resolution.
  • Own features across the software lifecycle, including coding, deployment monitoring, data-quality investigation, and operational support.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and design discussions, contribute to technical roadmaps, and document systems.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems for reliability and scaling.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multithreaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 3 years of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
