Responsibilities
- Translate business and user requirements into detailed technical designs, specifications, algorithms, and software solutions.
- Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain application systems and their supporting environments.
- Create and test databases, prepare test procedures and files, code and compile programs, and perform test readiness reviews.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software build, testing, and deployment processes.
- Support installation, integration testing, production implementations, release management, and post-implementation reviews.
- Provide production support under defined service-level agreements and diagnose and recommend solutions for program errors and operational problems.
- Document development procedures, application use, security processes, operational tasks, and technical designs.
- Collaborate with Platform Specialists, developers, IT programmers, clients, and distributed technical teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.
- Advanced experience in software development and support, deploying software solutions to clients in outsourced or similar IT environments, and working across multiple teams and geographies.
- Advanced knowledge of multi-technology application design, platform engineering, deployment and release management, automation tooling, source code repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to understand holistic application environments spanning hardware platforms, applications, databases, operating systems, and storage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, communication, organizational, teamwork, and client-service skills.
- Experience with programming and development in environments using Agile processes such as SCRUM and KANBAN.
- Relevant DevOps, Agile, cloud-platform, scripting, and programming-language certifications are preferred.
