Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java and Python applications and backend services.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and perform code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Write unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Improve application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Contribute to technical documentation and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically 6+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with Django ORM, JPA, and Hibernate.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using pytest, JUnit, Mockito, or equivalent frameworks.
- Knowledge of application security, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, debugging, static code analysis, Agile, and SDLC practices.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, cloud platforms, containers, messaging technologies, monitoring, observability, or web technologies is beneficial.
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives is beneficial.
