Senior JAVA Full Stack Engineer, Officer
State StreetResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and implement complex software enhancements, applications, frameworks, and solutions.
- Build next-generation IMS components using Java, React, JavaScript, cloud-native technologies, and related engineering languages.
- Design and contribute to high-performing, low-latency, highly transactional, concurrent, and event-driven systems.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across the team and participate in code reviews.
- Write unit and automation tests, conduct manual testing, and improve test methodologies and frameworks.
- Troubleshoot large, mission-critical client implementations and assist customer support and development teams.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, team leaders, and peer engineering teams.
- Support the CRD Scrum process, including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Plan and coordinate cross-team activities and mentor junior staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
- At least 9 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience in core and enterprise Java, including Collections API, concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven software systems.
- At least 5 years of cloud-native application development experience on a cloud-native platform, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- At least 5 years of experience with Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases.
- Extensive experience with relational databases including Oracle and SQL Server, including complex and high-performance SQL development.
- Experience developing high-performance, multi-tier database applications and solving complex business and technical problems.
- Preferred experience with financial trading systems and UI development using C#, React, and JavaScript.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers.
- Understanding of Agile development methodology and software engineering practices and principles.
