Responsibilities
- Build robust, secure, and scalable microservices for authentication, subscriptions, payments, content delivery, and other JioStar applications.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable code; conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
- Design data storage and messaging solutions using relational, document, key-value, object, graph, and index stores as appropriate.
- Own the operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure while meeting sub-second response-time goals.
- Evaluate technologies and contribute to architecture and design decisions for large-scale production systems.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver software aligned with business objectives.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and interns in functional and domain areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Java, Golang, or Python.
- Experience building distributed, domain-driven microservices.
- Strong understanding of database and storage fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, messaging systems such as Kafka, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Large-scale production experience with a focus on performance and reliability is preferred.
- Ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into structured, scalable technical solutions.
