Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve solutions for global business payment journeys.
- Handle implementation, unit testing, and integration across all technical aspects of development.
- Align engineering work with Google Pay’s long-term goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Google Pay teams in the US and India, including Platforms, Product, Trust, Safety, Risk, Marketing, Design, and Content.
- Own the end-to-end service lifecycle, including productionization, monitoring, alerting, on-call participation, bug resolution, and responding to user feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Two years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or one year of experience with an advanced degree.
- Two years of experience working in a full-stack development environment.
- Two years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, including one year of experience with large-scale application design and architecture.
- Experience with Java, C, C++, or JavaScript.
- Preferred: comprehensive experience across the stack, especially web-based architecture and Google internal ecosystems.
- Preferred: practical experience with computer science principles, software design architectures, algorithmic development, and advanced data structures.
- Preferred: ability to collaborate with Tech Leads and Product Managers through launch approval processes and enterprise integrations.
- Preferred: ability to independently drive projects from concept to completion and evolve products for complex partner requirements.
