Responsibilities
- Own engineering outcomes and improve collaboration, delivery quality, and team effectiveness within the Scrum team.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to refine requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide estimates.
- Provide technical guidance influencing product roadmaps, backlogs, solution architecture, and technical decisions.
- Design and develop enterprise-grade backend services using Java and Spring Framework.
- Build scalable cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, and develop frontend experiences with React.
- Automate software delivery using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.
- Use AI across the software development lifecycle and evaluate emerging AI technologies for practical engineering improvements.
- Maintain code quality through peer reviews, pull requests, quality gates, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain Playwright-based automated end-to-end, smoke, component, and performance tests, while supporting unit testing and manual verification.
- Contribute to ISS’s digital, cloud, and AI transformation and develop domain expertise in facility and workplace management.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience with strong technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of modern technologies and AI.
- Experience designing scalable, well-governed enterprise solutions and leading technical discussions.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, cloud-native application development, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, React, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, and Playwright.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and Scrum teams.
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to delivery.
