Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, and UI/UX teams to customize the Rylo experience for Android.
- Prototype new features and redesign existing application functionality.
- Develop innovative, consumer-facing mobile products using strong programming skills.
- Apply design principles to create intuitive Android applications.
- Maintain high performance and quality across the mobile experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, or 4+ years of software development experience.
- At least 2 years of object-oriented software development experience.
- At least 2 years of building Android applications in Java or Kotlin using the Android SDK.
- Experience understanding large and complex codebases and applying API design techniques to keep them clean and maintainable.
- Experience with the Android NDK and JNI.
- Experience with custom view-level programming on Android.
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, caching, I/O, data persistence, and handling high volumes of application and user events on mobile devices.
- Experience with networking APIs and frameworks such as Retrofit and OkHTTP.
- Functional programming experience or exposure to functional programming paradigms is preferred.
- Experience with C/C++, video processing, and OpenGL is a plus.
- Ability to tackle challenging projects under tight timeframes.
- Published applications on the Google Play Store are welcomed.
