Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend systems and services supporting privacy and data-compliance functions in API products and consumer applications.
- Collaborate with legal advisors and engineers to respond to court orders and other legal processes while maintaining privacy and legal standards.
- Identify automation opportunities and build tools that help teams automate customer-data tasks.
- Develop and implement data-handling policies and procedures aligned with legal and ethical standards.
- Protect the integrity and confidentiality of user data.
Requirements
- Experience building data pipelines, particularly for legal processes and investigative workflows.
- Ability to translate legal requirements into technical solutions and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to take ownership of problems end to end and acquire necessary knowledge independently.
- Experience creating workflow-automation tools when existing solutions are insufficient.
- Strong focus on user experience and customer needs while preserving privacy.
- Background in security investigations or collaboration with trust and safety, legal, and engineering teams.
