Responsibilities

Install, configure, commission, and deploy Minerva Frontline in customer environments.
Integrate new UAV platforms and capabilities into the Frontline platform.
Troubleshoot distributed-system, swarm-telemetry, gRPC connectivity, and MAVLink command-translation issues in real time.
Act as the on-site technical contact for complex system problems and work directly with customers and operators.
Translate customer and operator feedback into technical requirements and collaborate with engineering teams on improvements and integrations.
Participate in flight tests and validation campaigns to ensure software commands reliably control physical drones.
Develop scripts, diagnostic tools, and integration and test environments to make deployments reproducible and robust.
Work directly with hardware engineers, drone platforms, and test equipment during regular customer and field deployments.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, robotics, systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Very strong knowledge of modern C++ and productive C++ codebases.
Experience building and operating complex distributed systems, including real-time distributed systems.
Practical experience with gRPC, FlatBuffers, WebSockets, MAVLink, and MAVSDK.
Documented experience introducing and operating software solutions for external customers.
Experience collaborating with hardware teams during flight tests and platform integrations.
Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, up to 40%.
Must meet the requirements for the relevant security clearance due to the nature of the work.

Regular customer-site and test-range work with up to 40% travel within Germany.
Hands-on work on mission-critical command-and-control software for autonomous systems in operational environments.
Opportunity to collaborate closely with software, hardware, and systems teams in Berlin and Munich.
