Responsibilities
- Install, configure, commission, and deploy Minerva Frontline in customer environments.
- Integrate new UAV platforms and capabilities into the Frontline platform.
- Troubleshoot distributed-system, swarm-telemetry, gRPC connectivity, and MAVLink command-translation issues in real time.
- Act as the on-site technical contact for complex system problems and work directly with customers and operators.
- Translate customer and operator feedback into technical requirements and collaborate with engineering teams on improvements and integrations.
- Participate in flight tests and validation campaigns to ensure software commands reliably control physical drones.
- Develop scripts, diagnostic tools, and integration and test environments to make deployments reproducible and robust.
- Work directly with hardware engineers, drone platforms, and test equipment during regular customer and field deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, robotics, systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Very strong knowledge of modern C++ and productive C++ codebases.
- Experience building and operating complex distributed systems, including real-time distributed systems.
- Practical experience with gRPC, FlatBuffers, WebSockets, MAVLink, and MAVSDK.
- Documented experience introducing and operating software solutions for external customers.
- Experience collaborating with hardware teams during flight tests and platform integrations.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, up to 40%.
- Must meet the requirements for the relevant security clearance due to the nature of the work.
