Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support microservices using Spring Boot, Java, and Python.
- Improve developer experience through developer tooling, CI/CD optimization, test automation, observability standards, and self-service enablement.
- Write automated unit, integration, and contract tests and contribute to resilience, scalability, and observability requirements.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, platform, security, and operations teams to deliver software outcomes.
- Lead architecture and technical governance, including design reviews and technical decisions.
- Identify and drive AI opportunities across the software development lifecycle and product capabilities.
- Define and champion practical AI-enabled and agent-based engineering patterns for building, testing, releasing, and operating software.
- Prototype AI-assisted solutions, evaluate accuracy, cost, and latency, and recommend scalable approaches.
- Integrate AI into production products with appropriate controls, explainability where relevant, and operational readiness.
- Coach peers and contribute reusable AI components, templates, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on development experience with microservices, Spring Boot, Java, Spark, Kubernetes, and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of microservices domain boundaries, versioning, backward compatibility, API design, and asynchronous queues or events.
- Experience with Git, branching strategies, code reviews, build pipelines, and automated testing.
- Understanding of structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting, and runtime support.
- Understanding of containerization and deployment concepts, including Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience applying LLMs or GenAI to engineering workflows with measurable improvements.
- Experience applying AI, including agent-based tooling, to transform how teams build, test, release, and operate software.
- Track record of embedding AI into products or engineering workflows with tangible outcomes.
- Awareness of AI risks such as hallucination, data leakage, and bias, together with practical mitigations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a delivery-oriented approach.
