Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development.
- Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business or user-area needs.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues and provide technical evaluations and programming solutions.
- Design and recommend security measures based on post-implementation analysis of business usage.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and install or support application systems.
- Define operating standards and processes and ensure required procedures are followed.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and lower-level analysts and act as a subject-matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
- Assess and manage technology, compliance, and operational risks in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, real-time stream processing, big data engineering, and ETL pipeline design.
- Experience with Scala, SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Parquet, ORC, Apache HBase, Hadoop HDFS, and related data engineering technologies.
