Responsibilities
- Define and deliver end-to-end architecture across applications, integrations, data, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Create high-level and detailed solution designs addressing scalability, reliability, performance, security, maintainability, and operational resilience.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in .NET and C# through implementation guidance, code and design reviews, prototypes, and troubleshooting.
- Lead architecture and design reviews and establish reusable architecture principles, patterns, standards, and frameworks.
- Design scalable APIs, microservices, service interfaces, integration frameworks, and distributed-system data flows.
- Drive application modernization and cloud transformation using cloud-native and distributed application architectures on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams on deployment automation, infrastructure automation, containerization, monitoring, logging, and observability.
- Provide architectural guidance for Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Service Fabric solutions.
- Address security, governance, regulatory compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery, technical debt, dependencies, and implementation risks.
- Collaborate with product, business, engineering, infrastructure, security, and shared-services stakeholders on planning and delivery.
Requirements
- Significant experience in solution architecture, software architecture, or senior engineering leadership in complex enterprise technology environments.
- Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications and end-to-end technology solutions.
- Mandatory hands-on development experience with Microsoft .NET and C# and current knowledge of the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
- Ability to remain hands-on with code reviews, complex troubleshooting, design validation, prototypes, and implementation-level guidance.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, including microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, integrations, asynchronous processing, and data architecture.
- Experience designing cloud and cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience with DevOps engineering practices, automated testing, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability.
- Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of security architecture, performance, scalability, reliability, high availability, resiliency, and disaster recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Service Fabric and distributed applications built with Service Fabric.
- Preferred experience modernizing legacy or monolithic .NET applications and defining reusable frameworks, service interfaces, API standards, and integration patterns.
- Experience working across architecture, engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and shared-services organizations.
