Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering, configuration, operation, and lifecycle management of enterprise AI platforms for availability, performance, resilience, scalability, and supportability.
- Define platform engineering standards, reusable components, operational guardrails, and implementation patterns for secure AI solution delivery.
- Lead platform triage, incident resolution, escalation coordination, post-incident reviews, service restoration, and reliability improvement activities.
- Enable approved AI use cases in non-production and production environments by validating dependencies, release readiness, operational supportability, and service transition plans.
- Design and improve telemetry, logging, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, automation, and AI Ops capabilities.
- Embed governance, security, privacy, auditability, traceability, compliance, and human oversight requirements into platform engineering and operations.
- Maintain AI platform asset visibility, ownership, configuration integrity, lifecycle status, documentation, audit evidence, and operational standards.
- Mentor engineers and coordinate delivery with architecture, security, cloud, infrastructure, application, data, risk, compliance, and business teams.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, site reliability engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, enterprise IT operations, or production platform support.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery, engineering standards, production readiness, incident response, problem management, service restoration, and operational reporting for enterprise platforms.
- Advanced experience with cloud platforms, observability, automation, configuration management, integration patterns, Azure services, and AI platform operations.
- Strong expertise with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, dashboards, alerting, and operational telemetry design.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Logic Apps, Bicep, Terraform, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and related automation or infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Knowledge of API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Apache Kafka, Elastic, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, enterprise networking, edge security, identity, and access management.
- Knowledge of Azure AI, Copilot integrations, AKS, virtual networks, App Service, Azure Automation runbooks, DNA, Fortinet, and Akamai is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML operations, model lifecycle support, governance controls, human-in-the-loop practices, responsible AI, and production monitoring.
- Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes and proven ability to mentor engineers, influence standards, troubleshoot complex issues, assess risk, and create technical documentation and operational playbooks.
