Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of self-service platform capabilities, internal developer portals, golden paths, and automated provisioning workflows.
  • Build intelligent AI-enabled automation for CI/CD optimization, anomaly detection, incident remediation, and delivery acceleration.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code frameworks and reusable platform abstractions across multiple environments.
  • Design context engineering, prompt, tool-use orchestration, and context harness patterns for AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-powered developer tools and coding assistants into engineering platforms.
  • Deploy and scale distributed workflow orchestration systems such as Camunda in multi-datacenter environments.
  • Build platform observability capabilities covering metrics, logging, tracing, and AI-driven alerting.
  • Create technical designs, facilitate architecture reviews, and align teams on platform standards and patterns.
  • Embed security controls as code within pipelines and platform infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship in platform engineering and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements

  • Require 8–10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with progressive responsibility.
  • Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript, plus strong Bash scripting skills.
  • Deep understanding of internal developer platforms, self-service infrastructure, golden paths, and platform engineering principles.
  • Strong AI literacy covering context engineering, prompt engineering, context harnesses, MCP, function calling, and AI agent orchestration.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or Devin.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Dynatrace, GitHub, Backstage or Port, Elastic, and Kibana.
  • Deep expertise with GitHub Actions and GitOps approaches for CI/CD and platform automation.
  • Advanced Kubernetes and OpenShift experience in enterprise-scale production environments.
  • Experience with distributed systems architecture and workflow orchestration platforms such as Camunda.
  • Extensive experience with Azure, AWS, OCP, Linux/Unix systems, and APIs.
  • Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers, with strong communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
  • Preferred qualifications include internal developer portal development, AI productivity tooling, progressive delivery, custom platform and CLI tooling, financial services technology experience, and CKA/CKAD, Red Hat OpenShift, or cloud certifications.
