Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the availability, scalability, and performance of critical services.
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability systems using tools such as AWS CloudWatch and Dynatrace.
- Monitor infrastructure capacity and performance and recommend service-delivery improvements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, scaling, and other repetitive operational tasks.
- Create and maintain scripts and custom code for operational tooling.
- Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and mitigate production incidents.
- Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
- Partner with engineering and IT stakeholders to implement SRE practices, service-level objectives, and error budgets.
Requirements
- Strong systems administration background in Linux and Windows environments at large scale.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, including AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of networking, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale distributed systems for a global organization is preferred.
- Familiarity with ITIL standards, ServiceNow, chaos engineering, resilience testing, and advanced capacity planning is preferred.
