Responsibilities
- Develop native C embedded firmware for STM32-based systems.
- Design real-time software for safety-critical drone and aerospace applications.
- Build low-level drivers, communication interfaces, bootloaders, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Implement fault detection, watchdog, redundancy, and failsafe mechanisms.
- Support board bring-up, validation, system integration, and hardware-software debugging.
- Use oscilloscopes, debuggers, and logic analysers to troubleshoot complex hardware-software interactions.
- Contribute to safety-critical development, verification, documentation, and embedded platform architecture.
- Ensure reliable, maintainable, deterministic firmware performance in demanding operating conditions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Strong native C programming skills in embedded or low-level environments.
- Hands-on experience with STM32 microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems using RTOS or bare-metal architectures.
- Ability to read schematics and collaborate with hardware engineering teams.
- Strong embedded debugging and hardware interaction skills.
- Systematic and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience with IEC 61508, ISO 26262, DO-178C, SIL2, functional safety, or equivalent safety-critical development is advantageous.
- Experience with drone, avionics, robotics, autonomous systems, or regulated high-reliability industries is advantageous.
- German language skills are advantageous for customer and procurement collaboration.
