Responsibilities
- Write software to automate repetitive administrative tasks and improve system operation.
- Build observability platforms using tools such as Grafana to monitor performance and anticipate issues.
- Conduct root-cause analysis after system failures and improve future incident responses.
- Forecast resource usage to prepare cloud servers for traffic or data spikes.
- Contribute to the development and scaling of Oracle’s highly available Block Storage Service.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing commercial software in distributed environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
- Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible provisioning tools.
- Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and storage and networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and iSCSI.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
- Expertise with deployment pipelines and monitoring tools such as Grafana.
- Ability to write contextual instructions and manage memory for AI agents.
- BS or MS degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Fully competent independent judgment in the functional area; the role may include project leadership or supervision of lower-level personnel.
