Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate needs into practical, scalable, secure solution architectures.
- Own the development and maintenance of initiative- or domain-specific end-to-end solution architectures.
- Assess platforms and capabilities, identify gaps, and recommend custom, third-party, and integrated solutions.
- Develop architecture artifacts, design specifications, implementation guidance, roadmaps, and cost considerations.
- Guide solution implementation across development, integration, testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Review architectures for enterprise alignment, domain integrity, governance, and quality.
- Evaluate vendors, products, frameworks, and emerging technologies.
- Identify architectural risks, compliance considerations, and data governance requirements and define mitigations.
- Collaborate with engineering, data, and functional teams to resolve complex issues and present recommendations to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Contribute to architecture standards, continuous improvement, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Proven ability to own solution architecture, influence strategic technology direction, and define future-state vision.
- Expert knowledge of recognized architecture frameworks, methodologies, domains, perspectives, and viewpoints.
- Strong software engineering and architecture foundation with experience designing and implementing complex enterprise solutions.
- Experience delivering large system integration initiatives and developing software, platform, and infrastructure architecture plans.
- Strong knowledge of investment and financial systems, asset management processes, investment operations, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of integration technologies, API design principles, integration patterns, and cloud or cloud-native architecture.
- Experience with application portfolio management, architecture governance, domain-driven design, and integration-intensive data programs.
- Knowledge of scalability, performance, maintainability, resiliency, recovery, security, privacy, and load distribution requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile delivery environments and communicate with technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Desired experience includes investment distribution, alternative and private markets, portfolio management, investment finance, fund administration, investment platforms, cloud services, big data platforms, Scrum, and architecture governance.
