Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain multi-generation software architecture for Low-Speed IO subsystems across Linux kernel, vendor modules, bare-metal, and RTOS firmware environments.
- Lead pre-silicon validation strategies using Gem5, QEMU, and FPGA emulation to support day-one silicon bring-up and maximize driver coverage.
- Partner with silicon architecture, digital design, board electrical engineering, and camera, audio, touch, sensors, and wireless teams on peripheral connectivity.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor team members across global sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- At least 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with embedded systems, Linux drivers, and C/C++.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in complex, matrixed organizations involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
