Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end firmware architecture, development, and execution for robotic and mechatronic systems.
- Develop and optimize low-level motor drivers and interface with BLDC motors, encoders, and gate drivers.
- Implement safety-critical fault-handling logic, closed-loop control algorithms, kinematics, and trajectory planning.
- Partner with electrical, mechanical, product, operations, and software teams from prototype bring-up through system-level integration.
- Establish firmware standards for reliability, latency, and observability while mentoring team members and helping scale the robotics engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Experience with motor control, electromechanical systems, low-level drivers, high-volume electromechanical consumer products, or robotic hardware.
- Expertise in embedded systems, RTOS, low-level peripherals, and C/C++ or Rust.
- Expertise in kinematics, trajectory planning, and closed-loop control algorithms.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding systems.
