Base Salary

$171k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain full-stack features, interactive web interfaces, backend services, and APIs for remote assistance operators.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, monitor, and support production software across frontend and backend systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, operations stakeholders, and engineers to clarify requirements and improve operator workflows.
  • Coordinate dependencies with platform services and vehicle data while reusing and extending existing systems.
  • Write technical designs, implementation documentation, operational runbooks, and high-quality tested code.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, on-call rotations, production troubleshooting, and onboarding new team members.
  • Improve performance, maintainability, reliability, and test coverage by addressing bottlenecks and reducing duplication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications and backend services.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and a modern frontend framework such as React.
  • Experience developing backend services and APIs with proficiency in at least one backend programming language.
  • Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software design, including the ability to implement, test, and debug across the application stack.
  • Preferred experience with real-time web applications, operational dashboards, map-based interfaces, or data visualizations.
  • Preferred familiarity with streaming data, distributed systems, frontend/backend state synchronization, browser performance, API latency, or backend service reliability.
  • Experience collaborating with product and design to improve usability based on user feedback is preferred.
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicles, robotics, telemetry, or remote assistance systems is helpful but not required.
