Base Salary
$125k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance backend services for the Censys Platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Frontend Engineers to deliver customer-focused features.
- Integrate with internal and external APIs for data-driven experiences.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and monitoring workflows.
- Participate in an iterative development process emphasizing continuous improvement.
- Evolve the Censys public API as platform capabilities grow.
- Own small-to-medium features from design through launch.
- Share on-call responsibilities and handle incidents with team support.
Requirements
- Experience writing backend services in Go (Golang).
- Foundational understanding of distributed systems and operational challenges.
- General knowledge of database design and access patterns.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or GCP).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- A track record of delivering high-quality work and learning quickly from mistakes.
