Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, validate, and maintain software solutions for organizational products and systems.
- Lead software and hardware system integration to support consistent performance and program reliability.
- Establish requirements and prioritize features for moderately complex software design projects.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and address issues during development.
- Complete software design and development projects through inspections and quality review.
- Create and maintain design specifications, code comments, user manuals, and other project documentation.
- Review and optimize existing software or firmware designs and evaluate new technologies.
- Recommend solutions to complex technical problems and develop custom tools or scripts for analysis, debugging, or problem solving.
- Mentor and guide junior exempt and non-exempt team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, external customers, and other organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant software engineering experience, or at least 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and software development frameworks.
- Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system-level programming, and adopting GenAI in the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with software testing strategies, debugging tools, and performance optimization techniques.
- Ability to evaluate and integrate new technologies into existing software solutions.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git and GitHub and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and engage effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.
