Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, construct, test, implement, and support new or revised application systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk assessment, and business and system process evaluation.
- Develop Java applications and programming solutions using Spring frameworks, RESTful web services, SQL, relational databases, version control, build tools, and messaging technologies.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and provide user and operational support.
- Recommend and develop post-implementation security measures and help ensure system functionality and compliance.
- Monitor development phases, establish operating standards and procedures, and assess risk and control issues.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts while serving as a subject-matter expert to stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- 6–12 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem, including Spring Boot and other Spring frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, SQL, relational databases, Git, Maven or Gradle, and Kafka or similar messaging tools.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and working knowledge of consulting or project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes in requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
