Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and integration of software components within a complex naval systems architecture.
- Develop and enhance software solutions and automated test capabilities.
- Integrate third-party software technologies and produce reusable design and code artefacts.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define requirements and solve technical challenges.
- Deliver software meeting required quality, performance, reliability, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Experience developing software in a structured engineering environment.
- Experience with continuous integration and automated testing.
- Familiarity with using and integrating third-party software technologies.
- Ability to understand technical guidance and translate it into useful, reusable design and code artefacts.
- STEM-related academic qualification or equivalent experience.
- Ability and willingness to become recognised as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer through an appropriate professional institution.
- Applicants must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance; some roles may require 5 to 10 years of continuous UK residency for national security vetting.
- Eligibility may be affected by nationality, previous nationalities, place of birth, and export-control restrictions.
