Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support end-to-end Workday integrations.
- Build and maintain Workday Extend applications, orchestrations, custom business objects, APIs, and UI pages.
- Develop inbound and outbound integrations with payroll, benefits, ATS, financial, data warehouse, and middleware systems.
- Apply Workday AI and automation capabilities to integration and reporting workflows.
- Write and optimize XSLT, XPath, Groovy, and Workday report-based transformations.
- Configure and troubleshoot PECI and other payroll and financial interface protocols.
- Build calculated fields, custom reports, and RaaS endpoints.
- Own integration security design involving ISUs, security groups, certificates, OAuth 2.0, and API access policies.
- Lead technical design sessions, create integration design documents, and review peer solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production integrations, manage incidents, and perform root cause analysis and remediation.
- Partner with Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, and ATS teams to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Support semi-annual Workday releases, regression testing, monitoring, alerting, and tenant promotion.
Requirements
- 4+ years of total experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Extend, and Workday Web Services using SOAP and REST.
- Experience building Workday Extend applications and extensions on Standard and Professional platforms.
- Experience with third-party integrations, downstream systems, and middleware such as MuleSoft.
- Experience with Workday Illuminate, AI Gateway, extend-based ML skills, and intelligent automation features.
- Experience with XSLT, XPath, Groovy, Workday Custom Reports, calculated fields, matrix reports, composite reports, and RaaS.
- Experience with integration security, ISUs, security groups, X.509 certificates, OAuth 2.0, and least-privilege API access policies.
- Experience leading technical design, production support, incident response, release-cycle assessment, regression testing, and integration monitoring.
- Experience packaging and promoting Workday configuration and integrations across tenants.
