Base Salary
$224k - $336k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of systems powering patient identification, pricing estimates, provider matching, eligibility, and claims operations.
- Build data-intensive, ML-powered platforms serving patients and providers across 50 states, 1,000+ payers, and millions of monthly appointments.
- Develop ML models, OCR pipelines, claims AI agents, and human-in-the-loop automation for insurance operations.
- Write high-impact production code and create platform abstractions that enable other teams to move faster and more safely.
- Own ambiguous technical problems from solution definition through shipped software while coordinating across teams.
- Mentor engineers and communicate technical decisions through design documents, written discussions, and cross-team meetings.
Requirements
- Demonstrated staff-level software engineering experience building and owning complex platform systems.
- Hands-on ability to write high-leverage production code and lead system design and implementation.
- Experience working with messy, data-intensive domains and building reliable systems that identify meaningful signals.
- Ability to define solutions for ambiguous problems, collaborate across teams, and drive outcomes as priorities change.
- Strong technical communication and ability to bring stakeholders along through design documents and cross-team discussions.
- Interest or experience in machine learning-powered systems, insurance data, healthcare data, payer operations, or large-scale automation is relevant to the role.

- Expected base pay is $224,000-$336,000 depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location, with potential equity eligibility.
