Responsibilities
- Build and ship secure, production-grade backend software for Salesforce’s cloud platform.
- Design scalable distributed systems and AI-agent integrations for human workflows.
- Contribute to shared system designs, constraints, standards, and system context.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Develop components and algorithms in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Participate in design, implementation, code reviews, automation, testing, and other SDLC phases.
- Make design decisions focused on performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance depending on seniority level.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering development experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and languages including Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, and C++.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Postgres, Trino, Redshift, and MongoDB.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
- Proficiency with queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor in development workflows.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to cultivate reliable, secure, production-ready AI system context.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with generative AI, RAG systems, agentic workflows, big data or ML, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Demonstrated software development best practices, leadership skills, and experience working in a rapidly growing multinational organization.
