Mid- Level Backend Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build and ship secure, optimized, production-grade backend software for Salesforce’s cloud platform.
- Design and orchestrate scalable distributed systems and AI-agent integrations for human workflows.
- Develop efficient components and algorithms in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Contribute across the software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing.
- Evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Maintain shared system context containing system designs, constraints, and standards for reliable AI-assisted development.
- Make design decisions focused on performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Review code, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance as appropriate to the role’s seniority.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering development experience.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Scala, C#, Go, Node.js, and C++.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Trino, Redshift, and MongoDB.
- Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
- Understanding of queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and ability to cultivate reliable, secure, production-ready system context.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Preferred experience with generative AI, RAG systems, agentic workflows, large language models, big data or ML, S3, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Preferred experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing multinational organization.
