Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable software applications, APIs, and cloud-native services in AWS environments.
- Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions for scalable and repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
- Support and enhance cloud infrastructure, containerized workloads, and orchestration platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives within Agile delivery teams.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to improve stability and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with risk, security, and compliance teams on regulatory requirements, governance standards, and cloud security policies.
- Migrate and update categorisation and analytical models from Microsoft Azure to AWS.
Requirements
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills for explaining solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to write clean, scalable, reusable code using SOLID principles, applicable design patterns, and published coding standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse, investigate, and compare large data sets when required.
- 4 to 8 or more years of programming experience using Python.
- 3 or more years of developing with Azure cloud services.
- 3 or more years of programming using Terraform.
- 3 or more years of experience with container technologies.
- Regular use of GenAI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with BDD/TDD, CI/CD, Bitbucket, and Jira.
- Advantageous experience with AWS, Harness, ADO, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
- Java or .NET may be considered instead of Python, and CloudFormation may be considered instead of Terraform.
