Responsibilities

Develop and deploy client-facing data and desktop applications.
Translate business requirements and business concepts into functional applications.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, reliable code while supporting code quality and automation.
Own pharmaceutical data pipelines, using Python and SQL to ingest, normalize, validate, and prepare JSON, XML, and zipped data sources for analysis.
Maintain and enhance specialized C# Excel desktop applications using COM add-ins and Excel DNA.
Manage declarative data pipelines with Dagster’s Python API and dbt.
Automate repetitive data-handling tasks and explore integrating workflows into AI platforms.
Collaborate with the backend deployment team to deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform through GitHub.
Build interfaces with JavaScript and Vue that allow researchers to interact with data without accessing the raw backend.

3–5 years of experience developing and deploying client-facing data and desktop applications.
Proficiency in Python backend development, specifically FastAPI.
Experience with Dagster or similar Python-based orchestration tools.
Strong SQL skills for migrations and a deep understanding of data design for analytics.
Experience building declarative data pipelines with dbt.
Essential proficiency in WinForms for creating presentation panes and forms within Excel; WPF is not compatible with current requirements.
Ability to understand business concepts, gather requirements, and translate them into applications.
Preferred familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Preferred knowledge of JavaScript and Vue.
