Responsibilities
- Design and develop Python-based services and FastAPI-driven APIs in a GCP environment.
- Build and maintain serverless applications and event-driven integrations.
- Implement and optimize data architectures using BigQuery and other managed GCP services.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Implement complex business rules and index concepts.
- Mentor and coach team members on Python best practices, cloud-native GCP design, and serverless architecture.
- Maintain and design a complex data warehouse environment.
- Create technical design documentation and execute test strategies.
- Provide first-line and second-line application support for ICOS systems.
Requirements
- Deep Python expertise, including design patterns, object-oriented programming, and Pythonic code.
- At least four years of experience building high-performance APIs with FastAPI.
- Expert-level experience with Pandas, Polars, NumPy, and optimization techniques for large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure, including containerization and serverless compute.
- Excellent Oracle PL/SQL and relational database management system experience, preferably with Oracle.
- Experience with Control-M or other scheduling tools.
- Exposure to Informatica PowerCenter and ETL concepts.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Indexing knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, written English, spoken English, communication, teamwork, motivation, flexibility, and willingness to learn new technologies.
