Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture, long-term technical vision, engineering strategy, and framework selection for the Yield squad.
- Own end-to-end delivery of core investment workflows, including client signup, investment, and redemption, from design through production.
- Build and maintain financial infrastructure including reconciliation controls, unit registries, and investment ledgers.
- Write high-quality, testable code focused on reliability and maintainability, including integrations with external investment providers.
- Promote engineering best practices emphasizing observability, API design, and robust integration rails.
- Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Design teams to deliver a strong business customer experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, software engineering, or a related major.
- Experience solving distributed systems challenges involving scalability, consistency, and latency.
- Mastery of backend technologies; the team uses Kotlin with Vert.x, Temporal, and Kafka.
- Experience with automated testing and quality control processes.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP or AWS, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience integrating observability tooling such as Splunk, New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana.
