Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support scalable APIs, automation services, cloud-native services, and software solutions.
  • Develop solutions for complex security and operational challenges across the organisation.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Champion engineering practices involving testing, deployment automation, observability, operational support, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture and design discussions, technical problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, architects, and security teams across squads.
  • Investigate recurring technical issues and contribute innovative approaches to improve processes, tooling, and operational efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and adapt to new technologies and unfamiliar challenges.

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack software engineering experience with deep backend engineering expertise.
  • Experience building and supporting software across the full development lifecycle.
  • Experience designing and building APIs, automation solutions, or distributed systems.
  • Solid programming experience in Python or similar modern programming languages.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, including testing and deployment automation.
  • Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to end-to-end delivery.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, modern software design, API integration, cloud-native services, distributed systems, system design, architecture, monitoring, observability, and secure software development practices.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, technical curiosity, ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, and adaptability.
  • Experience in cyber security, security engineering, incident response, or related environments is highly regarded but not essential.
