Responsibilities

  • Design and develop board support and device-driver software in collaboration with software, hardware, FPGA, and factory test teams.
  • Test hardware during development and resolve issues before product release.
  • Follow group development processes and procedures to ensure code meets team guidelines.
  • Work with Operations to implement production test programs and procedures.
  • Support customer management teams in resolving field-found problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with C/C++ in an x86 embedded processor environment using collaborative software development tools.
  • Experience with Linux OS.
  • Experience reading hardware schematics and performing digital circuit analysis.
  • Knowledge of x86 BIOS/UEFI is an asset.
  • Knowledge of assembly language programming is desirable.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain problems to hardware and software teams.
