Responsibilities
- Build and evolve Vimes’s web and mobile applications using cross-platform technologies.
- Rapidly develop and test new communication features, database integrations, and public-safety systems.
- Help scale the platform’s security and compliance toward StateRAMP and FedRAMP.
- Generate data-driven insights and securely integrate with existing government databases.
- Design database schemas and work on SQL and NoSQL data systems.
- Collaborate with designers to build UI components and improve user experience.
- Work with the CTO and manage or coordinate Stanford software engineering interns.
- Solve technical problems and influence the product’s technical direction and stack.
Requirements
- Strong skills in React and React Native, with iOS and Android app development experience.
- Experience with AWS-related services.
- Experience taking products from concept to reality in a startup or other 0-to-1 environment.
- Production coding experience on shipped full-stack applications.
- Experience working with communication platforms.
- Experience building SQL and NoSQL database schemas.
- Ability to learn relevant new technologies quickly.
- Security engineering and compliance experience, including SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, StateRAMP, or similar, is a plus.
- Govtech startup experience is a plus.
- Design experience is a plus.
