Responsibilities
- Implement and optimize cloud-native solutions using AWS services while managing infrastructure cost and performance.
- Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure for business-critical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, conduct root cause analyses, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Implement disaster recovery, cloud security, IAM policies, VPC designs, encryption, and key management using KMS.
- Maintain Terraform infrastructure as code and support CI/CD-based delivery practices.
- Implement observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, and related solutions.
- Support vulnerability management, configuration management, patching, audits, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Create technical documentation and contribute to technical planning, backlog development, design, build, and production delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or education and experience typically meeting the stated qualifications.
- At least 7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles, including at least 3 years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Strong expertise in AWS core services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux environments, with hands-on Docker experience.
- Experience delivering business-critical systems and implementing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience with security and compliance controls aligned with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FFIEC.
- Experience implementing observability at scale for complex transactional systems.
- Current AWS or other cloud-based certification is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AppDynamics, Twistlock, Aqua Security, C#, Ruby, Python, ACH/EFT, RTP, FedNow, FinTech, banking, or other highly regulated industries.
- Background and drug screen are required.

- Contract position with a pay range of $56.73-$73.07 per hour.
