Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of backend-focused full stack web application features using Python, Django, React, PostgreSQL, and OpenSearch.
- Architect and implement scalable enterprise features including access control, authorization, data export, reporting, customizations, integrations, and hybrid deployment support.
- Build and operate services in Docker/Kubernetes-based clustered environments across AWS, GCP, and on-premises infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate user stories and requirements into robust solutions.
- Support deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance, security, reliability, and compliance of services across customer environments.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools and contribute to AI-driven web applications by integrating available AI models as software services.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Python and/or Django.
- Proficiency with Python, Django, GraphQL/REST APIs, and web application concepts.
- Experience designing or working with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch at large scale.
- Knowledge of containerizing monolithic applications or developing on containerized platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of identity management, authentication, authorization, and enterprise readiness.
- Experience monitoring security concerns associated with web application products.
- Ability to design databases and APIs for complex business problems and reason about highly performant clustered deployments.
- AWS cloud solutions architect certification or equivalent certification is a bonus.
- Ability to travel to the office two days per week and eligibility to work as a U.S.-based candidate.
